Membership fees

Membership fees pay for the costs of having an organisation — such as contract negotiations, grievances, training for members, legal fees — so no one has to go it alone. Funding the cost of our union as members also keeps us independant and unreliant on others.

Special Fees and Levies

  • Retirees: $3.25 per week - members who wish to remain active in the Union even after they leave the workforce
  • Casual Bus Drivers: $1.35 per day
  • Extra Funeral Benefit: voluntary payment of 60 cents per week in addition to the normal weekly fee
  • Fighting Fund: additional levy paid by some worksites
  • Federation of Ambulance Officers of NZ: additional levy paid by some worksites
