Join

If you are interested in joining the union and you don't know much about it you can go to our Get Organised Request Form and get one of our organising staff to contact you and have a chat!

If your workplace already has NDU members, see our NDU delegate for a sign up form and all other information about NDU membership.

If you are the only person at your workplace that wants to join, we welcome you as an NDU member and will support you if in the future you have a problem at work. You will receive regular Union publications and are entitled to the benefits of union membership including telephone advice. However our resources do not allow us to regularly visit your workplace, or to negotiate individual employment agreements on your behalf or take on pre-existing problems.

We ask you to select the direct debit option to pay your fees.

It pays to be part of the collective.

When you join you are getting together with 20,000+ union members who work in the same occupations and industries as you. NDU members know that having a union presence at their workplace gives them the power to stand up for their families, their futures and themselves. A legal binding collective employment agreement gives workers a strong collective voice with which to demand decent working conditions, with fair pay and benefits. That's what the NDU is about: decent working conditions, better pay and dignity and respect on the job.

We have a strong industry culture, fully trained delegates and experienced organisers who know your industry. Our organisers are backed up by two experienced employment lawyers, a full time Education Organiser, a Publicity Officer and a National Secretaries team that has huge amounts of industry & industrial knowledge.
